Our Team

Brian C. Shay, Chief Operations Officer has been serving THE PATH Financial Strategies since July of 2013. With Brian’s direction, support and proven strategies, THE PATH Financial Strategies can achieve its’ mission of being a trusted resource for pre-retirees, retirees and small business owners in securing and maintaining financial wellbeing.

He joined the team after spending over 20 years in the education field.  In the early 1990’s, Brian started as a classroom teacher, coach and athletic director.  After being in the classroom for over ten years, Brian then moved into administration as an assistant principal for 2 years.  Missing the classroom and coaching, Brian transitioned back into the classroom, where he was able to coach again and also maintain being athletic director.  In 2010, Brian decided to leave the education field, and Ohio, where he lived for over 40 years.  He decided to pursue work in Christian ministry.  Brian headed towards Wisconsin, to work at a Christian boy’s home for troubled teens.  After one year, God lead him to Virginia to pursue his wife Angie and another stint in the education field.  He spent 2 years as middle school math teacher in the Henrico School District.

Brian’s life has been deeply impacted by Christ in the last several years.  His spiritual journey advanced to another level when he moved to Wisconsin to work with troubled teens.  For most of his life, you could view him as a selfish person but he has transformed into a selfless person, living out what God has planned for him.  This year, he has been able to go on 2 mission trips with his church, Haiti and Poland.  Both trips gave Brian a realistic view of the world and how there are people everywhere in need of knowing who Christ is.  Currently, Brian and his wife serve on a board for Great Relationships, an organization whose mission is “equipping every Christian marriage and family with information and skills to heal, strengthen and protect their relationships, and to help others do the same.”

Brian is ardent about seeing people of all ages growing in their relationship with the Lord, experiencing a heart transformation and applying God’s principles to their lives.  His personal motto is, “it’s not just about knowing, it is about DOING.  It’s not enough to know the will of the Father, it is about living it.”
